Learn to Run Muddy (Women’s Only)
Want to learn to run…but feel uninspired by the road? This is a 12-week progressive walk to run program done exclusively on trails. This clinic will meet at Westwood Lake each week and while we will primarily stay on the main trail, as we progress in our running we will venture into more technical routes (yay!). The goal of this clinic is to introduce you to the trails, help you learn to run in a supportive & fun environment and give you the base to feel comfortable running the trails in and around Westwood Lake or joining one of the awesome trail running clubs in Nanaimo. All levels are welcome! Let’s get MUDDY! Clinic fee includes weekly runs, online support & accountability and a super awesome clinic top!
IMPORTANT Pre-requisite: No running experience required! However, all participants must be able to walk 5k within 55 minutes. Ideally participants should have a consistent walking routine of 2-3 walks per week for at least 3-4 weeks prior to starting. This is to ensure that you have the cardiovascular fitness to build to running (and enjoy it!) and is helpful for injury prevention.
Clinic Fee: $150+GST
