One-to-One Counselling
Are you looking to move from struggling or surviving to truly thriving?
I believe we are all born with an innate capacity to thrive. And yet, life happens. We absorb unhelpful narratives from our culture that shape how we see ourselves. We experience loss, overwhelm, or trauma without the safety or support needed to make sense of it. Sometimes we simply haven’t been given the tools, relationships, or resources required to navigate life with steadiness and self-trust.
None of this is about blame. Rather, it reflects the very human ways we adapt in order to get through.
Therapy can offer a different experience—one where old wounds are met with care, curiosity, and compassion rather than judgment or urgency to “fix.” Together, we create space to slow down, listen more closely, and understand what your emotions, nervous system, and inner experiences have been trying to communicate. Through this process, healing becomes less about changing who you are and more about reconnecting with what’s already there—your resilience, your clarity, and your capacity for meaningful change.
This work is not just about insight, though insight matters. It’s also about lived experience: feeling understood, having your experiences held with care, and discovering new ways of relating to yourself and your life so that the past no longer has the same hold on the present.
Because being human is hard—and none of us are meant to do it alone.
Before pursuing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology, I spent over 24 years working as a fitness professional (personal trainer, group fitness and yoga teacher) and as a Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor. These experiences deeply inform my work as a clinical counsellor. I bring a strong appreciation for the wisdom of the body, the impact of relationships, and the importance of creating a safe, attuned space where meaningful change can unfold.
My approach is relational, experiential, and client-centred. I draw from Attachment Theory, neurophysiology, practical embodiment-based practices, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also utilize both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma-processing.

How does it work?
Therapy is a collaborative process that is unique to each client. Together, we will explore the challenges bringing you to therapy and identify your goals or desired outcomes (ie. where do you want to be/ how do you want to feel at the completion of our work?). From there, I’ll bring forward ideas and suggest approaches to help you navigate and travel towards this. I view this work as a journey where you’re the pilot, and I’m a co-pilot, there to provide resources, support and encouragement.
