My nutrition philosophy is quite simple. Eat food that nourishes your body 80-90% of the time and allow the 10-20% to be “wiggle room” for foods that nourish your spirit (think: birthday cake or a glass of wine with a friend). Food is a fundamental part of our culture – we can’t ignore that, but we can become more aware of our nutrition – become conscious, mindful eaters. When we can move away from the all or nothing diet mentality and eat to nourish – to give the cells of our body the nutrients it needs it will reward us with energy, vitality & health.
Achieving your optimal health (and your healthy weight) is a fabulous by-product of eating (and moving) in a way that truly honours and respects your unique body. No one else on this planet has the same genetics, priorities, commitments, interests and goals as you! So your approach to eating will be as unique as you are! You won’t find any template meal plans or food rules here. Instead of trying to fit your awesome curvy peg into a square hole, my role as your coach is to help you turn down the volume on all the nutrition noise “out there” and gain clarity around what will work for you – long term. We’ll work together to determine where the “missing links” are and then one by one we’ll layer on habits and strategies to help you reach your health and fitness goals!
