Hello burger season! I love turkey as a base for burgers. It’s generally leaner than beef & I find it’s more complimentary to add ins for flavour. This one was inspired by a Caprese Salad!
Makes 8 large burgers:
1/3C crumbled feta cheese
1 egg
2 flats of ground turkey (about 3 lbs)
1/2C bread crumbs (I used GF)
1/4C chopped fresh basil
1/4C finely chopped grape tomatoes
1T organic no salt seasoning (I use Kirkland brand)
1/2t sea salt
Mix well & form into patties. Oil the grill or griddle before cooking.
I served on a GF bun dressed with a few sundried tomatoes, mayo & spinach with grilled zucchini & peppers on the side.
