This is a Goerzen family staple through the cold months! Chili is simple, healthy and GREAT when you want a home cooked meal at the end of a busy day (but no time to cook it!). Plus it is a HUGE batch! So you’re cooking a few meals in 1. #winning
- 2 flats of ground turkey
- pink salt & pepper to season
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 peppers (mix of yellow, orange & green)
- 6 stalks of celery, diced
- 2 cans of diced tomatoes
- 1 can of tomato paste
- 1/2C water
- 2T chili powder
- 1T cumin
- 1T oregano
- 1 can of black beans
- 1 can of kidney beans
In a non-stick pan fry up the turkey and season with S&P. Put it and all the remaining ingredients into the crock pot and mix. Cook on low for 8 or high for 4. Enjoy come dinner time! I like to serve mine with some avocado & a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
