What if you’re already “there.” You know…”there” that elusive place you’re working towards with your health & fitness. We all have one…but I believe that “there” is sucking the JOY out of your life. Let me explain…

As you strive towards your best self, consider that EVERY day is “there.” EVERY day is YOU being your best self. Some days your best self might be eating cupcakes & not getting out of your jammies. Some days your best self might be drinking kale smoothies & practicing yoga or running 10k. Neither is superior to the other – if they are honouring what you need right NOW.

It’s easy to get caught up in the trap of comparison when it seems like you are surrounded by people who have it more figured out than you do.

“So and so is SO amazing – she’s training for a marathon.”

“UGH I wish I had her discipline…she never skips a workout.”

“Dammit, why can’t I be just a bit more MOTIVATED…she is always making such gorgeous healthy meals, it’s all I can do to just get dinner on the table.”

I get it. I fall into it too. But here’s the thing, you don’t know their path. You don’t know how they FEEL about it. Maybe their miserable. Maybe they feel like a hamster on a wheel. We assume because people LOOK like they’ve got it all figured out that they do. But we’re all just doing the BEST we can on any given day.

So cut yourself some slack. YOU do YOU. Be YOUR best self. And if some days that’s eating cookies and binging on Netflix because that’s what you feel like doing – don’t judge yourself for it. Honour YOUR path. And for goodness sake – ENJOY it.

Because life is meant to be enjoyed. It’s meant to be lived. No other person on this planet can do YOU – and that’s a pretty cool thing.
